Made it a month already!

Hi
We have made it through the morning craziness after being able to sleep in on our 3 day weekend. The kids are on the bus and Ryan is off to work.

Friday Ryan came home at lunch time and then we played some tennis and then hit the pool. We went to grab supper at the mall and then went to see Pink Panther 2. The kids loved it. Saturday we went to the beach here (about 15 minutes away). It is not the nicest beach but none the less a beach. IT has a lot of pointy branches and rocks but it has a bike trail and bikes to rent and most importantly the ocean to play in! The kids had a lot of fun playing in the water and burying Ryan in the sand. I took a ton of pictures and will be working on figuring out pictures today - this whole new computer and software is slowing me down! It is amazing to see the number of massive ships in the bay. Sunday we went to church - we went to one that if we were on time we could walk to ( we weren't so we drove there). There were not many caucasins there but it is nice and close so I am not sure which church we will end up going to.

Then the highlight of the kids' weekend - we went to the mall and the kids got some turtles - we have 4 little turtles living out by my washer and dryer - they don't like A/C so we put them out there since it is covered. Now that will add to the to do list around here for the kids! Mom doesn't like such animals so will not be taking care of them. :)

Yesterday at the store we bought some Asian cookbooks and a rice cooker - (needed one since we are living here!). Ryan made a great beef stirfry that will make the list of make agains! SO now the kids have eaten Asian food while here. Dani was the only one that had. She and I ate a food court and she had some Korean food there. I now have oyster sauce and some other things I have never heard of in my frig but it turned out yummy.

It is crazy - hard to believe that we have been here for a month already. Yikes! We are looking at flights to go to Austrailia for spring break. We want to get there before my aunt and uncle leave and we need to start planning our travel that we want to do while we are here before all of the kids' breaks are gone!

Hope everyone had a good weekend and I am going to work on photos today so hopefully I can figure them out and get some more uploaded!

Oh I forgot to add - the weather has been strange (to us anyway) the first 3 weeks we were here it rained only once and not a lot - this last week it has rained everyday with a ton of lightning! Yesterdays storm lasted the longest - about 3 hours- with a lot of lightning and it was really close. I knew we would have rain here but we were a little surprised by the amount of lightning that we have seen so far. Luckily it didn't start raining until after we were back from the beach on Saturday. :)
